Date: 10 January 2020

Vice-Chancellor Professor Lynn Dobbs travelled to Kathmandu, Nepal, in December 2019 to attend a graduation ceremony at the Islington College Nepal, an international partner of the University.

Professor Dobbs was joined by academics from both the School of Digital Computing (SCDM) and the Guildhall School of Business and Law (GSBL), who have helped in developing the productive partnership over the past ten years with Innovate Nepal Group (ING).

This partnership bridges the West and East corners of the world with ING’s partnerships colleges including Islington College, Informatics College, and Itahari International College.

ING shares many of the same values as London Met, such as providing an education that goes beyond just textbooks and focusing on the employability of its graduates, with both the London Met and Islington College employment rate reaching 98.6%.

Through the partnership, London Met provides globally recognised degree programmes, supporting Islington College’s development as a nationally recognised and prestigious private college.
