Sounding the Great Hall

Cass Music Technology lecturer Alexander Wendt performs as part of a two-day festival at Goldsmiths.

Alexander Wendt, Senior Lecturer in Music Technology will perform as part of the two-day event Sounding The Great Hall organised by Tom Mudd at Goldsmiths, University of London. He will premiere a new works and improvise with composition that contemplates spaces and places.

The two-day mini-festival of artists exploring sound in space features Alexander Wendt, Ain Bailey, Sarah Angliss, Annie Goh, Georgia Rodgers, Lucia H Chung, Lia Mazzari, Mark Harwood, Tom Mudd and others. 
 
Wendt's works will be diffused via a 8-16 speaker setup, using a somewhat unconventional arrangement. The setup of multi-channel speaker system will include speakers in the hall and balconies as well as some hidden ones, such as one located inside the big organ in the hall. 
 
Alexander Wendt is a Senior Lecturer at Cass Music and teaches on the Creative Music Technologies BA course.
 
The event is free but must be booked in advance.
