Samuel Idowu has been invited for the second year running, to make a keynote speech at a conference in Craiova, Romania.

Samuel Idowu, senior lecturer in Accounting and Finance BA, has been invited to speak at the ninth conference of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, University of Craiova, Romania.
Samuel will be talking about, “Journeying with Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in the United Kingdom.”
“It’s an area in which I have made a Journal publication,” he said. “I will trace the origins of CSR in the UK from 31 December 1600, when the East India Company was incorporated and take it to the present day version of CSR in the UK.”
He was also a keynote speaker at the university’s eighth annual conference in October last year.
Samuel has led several edited books in CSR and is the editor-in-chief of two Springer’s reference books: Encyclopedia of Corporate Social Responsibility and Dictionary of Corporate Social Responsibility.
London Metropolitan University launched two new CSR courses in September 2017. Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability Adv Dip Pro Dev and Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability MSc will use the University’s campus as a “living lab” and allow students to get hands on experience while studying.
