PERFORMANCE: New Beginnings

Graduation showcase by Theatre and Performance students at Chelsea Theatre

Date: 25 April 2018

New Beginnings: A Festival of Remix and Revolutions taking place from the 10-12 May 2018 at the Chelsea Theatre is the graduation showcase for students of BA Theatre and Performance Practice

In the secluded spaces of the Chelsea Theatre, graduating theatre-makers from The Cass, London Metropolitan University invite you to a showcase of new performances, imagining a world of puzzled pasts and fickle futures.

Be transported to an alternative domain of shifting settings: from a 19th-century house in the fjords of Norway to a teenage bedroom in 1990’s Romford; a bar In-between worlds, a suspended botanical garden and a space of orbiting numbers. Beware of the writer and look into the mirror: what will look back at you?

Last year’s graduate performance, DEN, offered a taste of the type of immersive experience the school's talented performers can deliver. You can see a video here

Talking about the production, course leader Rishi Trikha said, "We're so excited about the work our students have created.  They've used their training as actors, directors, writers and designers to make some truly original performances that are both fun and thought-provoking. We hope you will be able to join us at this wonderful venue to celebrate their success."

Performances are at 7.15pm on the 10, 11 and 12 May at Chelsea Theatre, World's End. Tickets are only £5 ( or only £6 with a donation to this inspiring performance space) and can be booked here
