Loserville co-writer speaks with MA Music
Date: 04/12/2014
Music manager, composer, and radio producer, Elliot Davis, held a highly entertaining and informative guest talk for students of our MA Music Industry Management and Enterprise.
Elliot shared a wealth of experience, covering his recent Olivier nominated musical Loserville, co-written with former Busted and Son Of Dork hit-songwriter James Bourne, his background in artist management and work with major record labels, and his prolific career writing for stage and radio. Elliot also discussed his collaboration with Stephen Schwartz (composer of Wicked) on re-scoring and arranging his Broadway smash Pippin.
Elliot provided students with invaluable career advice on managing artists, getting that first break in the industry, and shared insights into his work writing for film and producing documentary profiles of some of the world’s leading musicians for the BBC - Freddie Mercury (Queen), the Bee Gees, Lionel Bart, and Neil Diamond.
