London Metropolitan University has opened a new office in China to support its growing engagement with Chinese students, universities and education partners.

The office, established in collaboration with Beijing Luncheng Education Consultancy Co. Ltd, will provide dedicated in-country support for London Met’s student recruitment and transnational education activities.

The new presence in Beijing will enable the University to build stronger relationships across China, provide more accessible support to prospective students and partners, and identify opportunities for sustainable academic collaboration.

Its work will include promoting London Met’s courses and distinctive student experience, supporting recruitment and conversion activity, strengthening engagement with the University’s agent network, and helping to develop and manage TNE partnerships with Chinese institutions.

The office forms part of London Met’s wider ambition to be a globally connected university and reflects the importance of China to its international strategy.

It will also support the University’s commitment to developing high-quality, mutually beneficial partnerships that expand access to UK higher education and create opportunities for students and academic communities in both countries.

The China office will work closely with teams across London Met to ensure that its recruitment and partnership activities are coordinated, evidence-led and aligned with the University’s academic priorities.

Its establishment represents a significant milestone in London Met’s international development and provides a platform from which the University can deepen existing relationships, develop new partnerships and expand its contribution to UK-China educational collaboration.
