London Met Graduate appointed as Venue Director of Shakespeare Schools Festival

Graduate of London Met Louie Keen, has just been appointed as Venue Director and Workshop Leader for Shakespeare Schools Festival, a brilliant organisation which works with schools nationwide to produce abridged productions of Shakespeare. Louie will be based in Manchester and Yorkshire working first in schools and then directing the work for performance in professional theatre venues.

Louie says 'London Met opened my eyes to many other opportunities in the arts and widened my focus, the course introduced me to the idea that directing theatre and making my own work is just as important in being part of someone else’s. The knowledge I have gained of the different job roles and history of the Performing Arts is allowing me to be a bigger force in the industry with many more employment opportunities than before I did the course'.
