Sadiq Khan, law alumnus is the new Mayor of London.

It all started in May 2015 when Sadiq Khan decided to run for London Mayor as a Labour candidate. After weeks of rallying it has all paid off and Sadiq Khan is the new London Mayor!
London Met is proud that Sadiq Khan is an alumnus from our law school, after graduating from the University of North London (London Metropolitan University) he went on to be a Human Rights Lawyer.
Dr Simon Jones Dean, Guildhall School of Business and Law said “I am delighted that a Law graduate from London Met continues to lead the political life in London. Much has been made of the Mayor’s “humble start in life” and his success demonstrates the transformative change that the University represents and the ethos by which we teach all of our students.”
As a University we are very proud of our alumnus and we would like to congratulate Sadiq Khan and wish him a prosperous future.
