Guildhall students welcomed by KLM - Air France
Date: 20/11/2014
The BSc Aviation Management course visited Airbus Toulouse in November 2014. Students got the chance to get a real insight into aviation by learning about the airline perspective of the industry as a whole. They also learnt more about the airline maintenance perspective using safety and financial cost “play-off” problems using Airbus as an example of this. The students found that this is a very competitive industry and it was clear from how they interacted with Airbus PR personnel that it was a highly valued experience.
Furthermore, KLM - Air France invited the aviation team to visit their maintenance facilities in Toulouse. They are currently embarking on a new PR initiative, which is intended to promote their company to educational institutions. This commitment was further enhanced by one of their executives flying from Paris to meet the Guildhall team in Toulouse.
Due to this successful visit, from next year KLM have invited London Guildhall Faculty of Business and Law to tour the maintenance facilities as well as visiting the Airbus manufacturing programme.
We would like to thank all staff and students who took part in organising the visit.
