Great day at the CIPD conference

Members of the human resource management team met with delegates at the CIPD’s flagship London’s Skilled Future conference to inform them of the range of short courses that we run to boost their continuing professional development.
The event, held at City Hall, was attended by some 200 HR professionals who came to hear keynote speakers including distinguished economists Vicky Pryce and Mark Beatson. Both Vicky and Mark are visiting professors at London Metropolitan University and speak regularly to our students.
The conference focused also on youth employment and actions that employers can take to help young people enter the workforce. The CIPD’s Steps Ahead Mentoring programme was showcased – an initiative that the London Guildhall Faculty of Business & Law is currently taking forward with CIPD to enhance our students’ employability.
