Guildhall tours Parliament

Guildhall students treated to a behind the scenes tour of Parliament

Date: 10/12/2014

BSc Banking and Finance students left the numbers in the classroom this week to take a historic tour around the Houses of Parliament. The trip was organised by the London Guildhall Faculty of Business & Law Banking Society. Students were given a fully guided tour that informed them about years of history, politics, art and architecture. Highlights included the Queen’s robing room, Lords chamber and Commons chamber.

Banking Society president Ljubisa Boskovic said: “Once again it was great to observe how national heritage is well preserved, treasured and looked after. While visiting House of Parliament and guided by an exceptional tour guide it felt like time had stopped (and a walk through history began). There is much to say about Westminster Palace and one thing is certainly right to say, it is so worth visiting.”
