Date: 21/04/2015

Guildhall School of Business & Law are now able to offer postgraduate students a CMI Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership in addition to their degree.

As a Higher Education Partner Institution students on the MBA Executive and MA Management and Strategic Leadership courses will benefit from the accredited centre status from the CMI.

Benefits of this dual award are invaluable to our student’s employability and future development with access to professional CMI mentors for expert advice and over 200,000 online jobs from one interface. Furthermore, membership of a UK chartered body opens up a library of online learning resources and a professional qualification which 90% of managers say improved their performance.

Current students have already benefitted from Guildhall’s relationship with the CMI.

“I have learned about various leadership styles and management skills on the course which has enabled me to perform more effectively in my current job. I am sure membership of CMI will open new career opportunities!” said Suraj Kumar.

Awais Butt added “This course assists me in becoming an all-rounded person and undertaking group activities into real life corporate scenarios has been of great benefit. Attending external events organised by Guildhall and CMI, making contacts and meeting with people from different industry backgrounds has been brilliant, this is what makes this course unique.”

As an accredited centre for CMI qualifications Guildhall are also able to assess individuals who wish to become chartered managers which will further add to a graduate's career development.

Professor Stephen J Perkins, Dean of Guildhall School of Business & Law commented “Links with industry and supporting our students in their careers really is at the heart of what Guildhall stands for. We are extremely proud to of our relationship with a prestigious body such as the CMI and as a partner institution it is an honour to be recognised for doing more than just running accredited courses.”

Dr Jalil Ahmed, the co-ordinator of the CMI development at London Met is equally thrilled. He said, “We already offer an excellent MA programme. The Diploma and membership of CMI adds a valuable dimension to our existing qualification.”
