Green Week 2016 launches with a trip to the Tower Building roof and Green Screen at the Rocket
Date: 7 March 2016
This week is the annual Green Week at London Met and there are plenty of activities on offer.
From visiting the roof of the Tower Building to special themed cocktails at the Rocket, this is a week you do not want to miss.
Some of the highlights of the week include ‘Battle of the bins,’ a fun activity to see who can sort through recycling rubbish waste the quickest, and the chance to win £50 Amazon vouchers. There will also be ‘Tower Run,’ a race up the 13 floors of the Tower Building to raise money for London Met’s Charity of the Year, Childreach International. These will take place on Tuesday 8 March and Thursday 10 March respectively.
During the week, the activities will be held at Holloway, Aldgate and Moorgate campuses and the ever popular Dr Bike will be back to London Met to service bicycles for free on Wednesday 9 March.
Enrico’s will be supporting Green Week by championing a ‘Meat Free Friday,’ where you will be able to buy delicious vegetarian food to support the environmentally friendly week.
All activities have been organised by London Met’s Sustainability team and you can keep updated on events on the sustainability page or on their twitter page.
