Employability - A Student Helping Staff Support Students

Employability opportunities for HRM students

Creating a positive outcome from a setback is always fulfilling. That’s exactly what happened when Winnie Chung, studying on the MA Human Resource Management, apologised in advance for non-attendance due to her involvement in her company’s graduate recruitment campaign.

Spotting the opportunity to help the student in her profession, her tutor Martin Tremaine introduced Winnie to the University’s Employability Team where colleagues were only too pleased to hear about potential job opportunities for other London Met students. As a result, a presentation on Aylin White Ltd’s graduate recruitment campaign is planned for London Met students in early 2015. If appropriate, Winnie will conduct 'on the spot' interviews.

Given Winnie is recruiting 'Head Hunters' she will also deliver a presentation at one of our BA HRM Lunch and Learn sessions. Further strengthening the links, the HR team will have one-to-one meetings with graduates employed by Aylin White Ltd if they want to study human resource management at postgraduate level at London Met.

London Guildhall Faculty of Business & Law runs a BA HRM with its lunch and learn employability sessions and postgraduate PG DIP HRM and MA HRM programmes.
