Teaching

Jude works at London Met two days week and balances teaching alongside writing and being a parent.

“My life is never quiet, I thrive on being far too busy,” says Jude. “I always wanted to teach. I’ve always had this urge to do it... I get so much out of the students. I’ve loved seeing them go from first year through and see how they’ve changed and the jobs that they’ve got.”

Jude has put together a Tumblr blog of chronicles the successes, stories and stars of the BA Journalism course.

“It’s also sharpened up my journalism, talking to students about my practice. I’ve never had to think about the way I write, then to suddenly realise how you do it... It really adds to my professional life and I’ve really enjoyed it.”

“It really excites me when you see students go on and do things and that you know that your working life has had a second impact.”
