Dr Tim Parsons from the John Grieve Centre for Policing and Community Safety attended a counter-terrorism conference in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India, from 19-21 March.
This was the first time that such a conference has been held in India and it was opened by India’s minister for Home Affairs, Mr Shri Rajnath Singh, and attended by senior officers from the army and the police, and by academics from across the globe.
UK universities were represented by the University of Oxford and London Metropolitan University.
Tim Parsons delivered a presentation to conference delegates on human rights and law enforcement in counter-terrorism.
