Valuable insight into Careers in HR

The focus of our recent lunch and learn event was ‘Careers in HR’. The HRM team was delighted to welcome MA HRM alumna, Yvette Gyles, to deliver the lunchtime BA HRM careers talk on this topic. Yvette graduated from London Metropolitan University with her CIPD approved MA in human resource management six years ago. Yvette’s presentation provided a fascinating and engaging overview of her career journey within HR.
Those attending the event found Yvette’s talk highly informative and useful, in particular those in the final year of their BA HRM programme who will soon be embarking on their own career journey. The informal and personal career history narrative provided by Yvette offered very interesting insights into the challenges and opportunities she has experienced within her HR roles in the private and voluntary sectors. The session concluded with a lively Q&A session which was then followed by lunch. All in attendance agreed that this was a highly beneficial and enjoyable event.
