BA HRM students gain first-hand insight into Civil Service Fast Stream

Focus on HR fast track stream for students

Date: 24/03/2015

The BA HRM was fortunate to host an insight into the Civil Service Fast Track Scheme. The presentation was facilitated via a partnership between the Careers Service and HRM subject group at London Metropolitan University. Representatives from the Organisation and Development Team from the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) presented to a full house, informing students of the various opportunities within the Civil Service for graduates with particular focus on the HR Fast Track Stream.

Anna Piggott and Amy Joiner, the speakers from DWP, were among the top 2% selected from over 40,000 applicants to secure their place on the Fast Track Scheme. They informed students of their experience, what the scheme entails and how prospective applicants might prepare and apply for the scheme that runs until April and then again in September 2015.  The BA HRM students were joined by Post Graduate Students from the MA Management and Strategic Leadership and representatives from Met Temps, who were keen to add to the many questions posed to Amy and Anna.
