The recently completed project between London Metropolitan University and New Brand Vision as industrial partner under the Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTP) scheme received a grade of 'Outstanding' and a special certificate of excellence from the Technology Strategy Board.
The main objective of the project was to develop a Web analytics tool capable of online data analysis and to advise on improving the performance of company websites. In pursuing this goal the project team employed a number of intelligent technologies - neural network, semantic thesaurus, navigation hot map, etc. The KTP Associate, employed especially for this project by London Metropolitan University, worked under the direct supervision of Dr. Vassil T. Vassilev.
The team of academic advisors included Prof. Dominic Palmer-Brown (academic lead), Prof. Farhi Marir and KTP director Prof. Karim Ouzzane. Only 10% of the KTP projects nationwide receive such a high award and this is a real achievement for both the young company and London Metropolitan University.
Five of the current employees of New Brand Vision, including the research associate Mohammad Haque, are former students of London Metropolitan University. This demonstrates the long-standing commitment of the university to engage in collaboration with businesses for the benefit of its students, as well as its own potential for working on high-tech projects with companies around the Silicon Roundabout.
Congratulations to the whole project team!
