Events Management alumna publishes ground breaking team building book for London

Alumna publishes her own book: What are we going to do next? Social team building and finding fun for city adventurers

Alumna Cathy Skeggs of the BA Events Management has recently published an innovative book What are we going to do next? Social team-building and finding fun for city adventurers. The book explores the importance of shared activities and experiences – social experiences that build positive memories and happiness in teams. The message of Cathy’s book is that adventures don’t have to be physically demanding or happen in hostile environments. They can be found with in cities like London.

After a successful career in financial auditing Catherine took time out to raise her family. She wrote murder mystery stories and, with her husband Ian set up ITM Games which produced murder mystery dinner party games and mystery games for children and teenagers. Cathy came back to University in 2007 and graduated from London Metropolitan University in 2011 with a first class degree in BA Events Management. Cathy worked closely with the University’s business Accelerator in Shoreditch, she set up her own company, Invitation to Events, specialising in producing social events.
