Academic entry requirements

Undergraduate Świadectwo dojrzałości (Maturity Certificate / Certificate of Completion of Secondary Education) with pass grades in the final classification, plus:
  • Pre-2005 (old Matura): pass 5* exams with a grade 3 or above in each one and an overall grade of 4 or higher in Egzamin Maturalny/ Dojrzałości (maturity examination)
  • Post-2005 (new Matura): Egzamin Maturalny/ Dojrzałości (maturity examination) with an average score of 60% or above in Basic level subjects AND at least two subjects at Extended/Advanced level with a minimum 40% if sciences/maths subjects or a minimum of 50% if humanities/social sciences subjects
Four-year degree including a foundation year Students who fall slightly below the standard requirements for an undergraduate course may be considered for an available or appropriate foundation year degree programme.
Postgraduate Dyplom Ukończenia Studiów Wyższych (Diploma of Completion of Higher Education Studies) – Licencjat/Inżynier/Magister in a relevant subject with an overall grade of 4/dobry (good) or above
International Foundation Programme Post-2005: Matura with an overall grade of 60% or above at basic level but no exams at extended/advanced level necessary
Pre-2005: Matura with five exams passed with a grade 3 or above in each but an overall grade lower than 4

English Applicants who require a student visa must provide a Secured English Language Test (SELT) such as Academic IELTS or Pearson PTE Academic qualification. Please see our English language requirements.
Mathematics (if applicable to your course) Basic level maths with 40% or above in Matura or grade 3 or above in final classification (part of the Matura certificate)

UK ENIC offers a variety of services on the comparability of qualifications from overseas. Providing your qualifications

Please be sure you're able to provide copies of official certificates of any qualifications you have taken when you make your application (please do not send us your original certificates). If any of your certificates or supporting documents (transcripts) are in a non-English language you will need to provide certified English translations alongside any official copies.
