Information and guidance through your student journey at London Metropolitan University

Welcome to London Metropolitan University! If you’ve received a conditional offer for the September 2025 intake, this guide explains the steps you need to take to meet your offer conditions and move forward in the admissions process.

1. Understanding the Application and Conditional Offer process

After submitting your application, you may receive a conditional offer, which means there are certain requirements you need to fulfill. These conditions will be clearly listed in your offer email and may include:

  • Your official academic certificates and transcripts
  • Proof of English language proficiency
  • completed CV
  • A copy of your passport
  • Details of any previous or current visa/residence permits
  • A completed Supplementary International Information Form

Depending on your course, you may also need to attend an academic interview or submit a portfolio

Some students may also be required to complete a compliance interview before their offer can be confirmed.

2. Submitting your documents

You can submit your required documents through the applicant portal. There are two ways to do this:

  • Via the link in your offer email: Follow the login instructions, browse your computer for the correct files, upload them with a clear filename (e.g., “Transcript” or “Certificate”), and make sure to click submit to ensure they reach the admissions team.
  • Directly through the applicant portal: Log in, select “Upload Documents,” and follow the same process. Be sure to submit after uploading.

3. Accepting Your Offer

To accept your conditional offer, log into the Evision portal, find your course, and click Accept Offer if you haven't already. This step confirms your intention to study at London Met.

4. Meeting English Language Requirements

If English proficiency is one of your conditions and you are unsure about meeting the required level, London Met offers pre-sessional English courses. Depending on your current score and the course requirements, you can choose from 16, 12, or 6-week programmes to help you reach the necessary level.

5. Supplementary International Information Form and Compliance Interview (If Required)

You are required to complete a short questionnaire as part of your application. The form includes key questions such as:

  • Why have you chosen to study in the UK and particularly in London?
  • Why did you choose London Metropolitan University and this course
  • How will the course help you achieve your career goals?

Note: You must provide detailed and honest answers. You only have two chances to submit this form correctly. If not completed 24 hours before a compliance interview, your interview may be cancelled.

Important: Not all students will need to complete a compliance interview. If this requirement applies to you, you'll receive an email invitation only after all other conditions are met. Follow the instructions in the email to:

  • Choose your level of study (undergraduate/postgraduate) and intake
  • Select an interview date and time that suits you
  • Fill in your personal details carefully and confirm the appointment

During the interview, you’ll need to show photo ID and answer questions about your chosen course, career goals, finances, and reasons for studying at London Met. The outcome will be sent to you by email.

6. Further Support

Our international team is here to help. We offer Q&A sessions where you can meet representatives from your region and get tailored support. Make sure to register and attend if you have questions or need further guidance.

How to pay your deposit and receive an Unconditional Offer

Ready to take the next big step? Learn how to pay your deposit, complete your tasks, and secure your Unconditional Offer and CAS at London Met – it’s all in this quick guide!

This guide explains the steps you need to take to pay your deposit, complete the deposit task, and request your CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies) at London Metropolitan University.

  1. Paying Your Deposit

How you pay your tuition fees depends on the type of funding you have, where you are from and whether you are studying at undergraduate or postgraduate level. You can find different ways to pay here.

  2. Completing the Deposit Task
  • Once you have met all the conditions of your offer, you will receive an email inviting you to pay your deposit.
  • In the email, click the “How to pay your deposit” button. This will take you to a page with payment options.
  • The quickest and most secure way to pay is by credit or debit card through the University’s secure payment portal.
  • Fill in your details carefully and complete the payment.
  • Important: save your payment receipt – you will need this for the next step.
Note: If you are receiving a government loan already approved by London Met, you are not required to make a deposit payment. This does not apply to students receiving loans from local or private banks.
  • After paying your deposit (or if you're using an approved government loan), log in to your applicant portal.
  • Click on “Provide Proof of Payment” to begin the deposit task.
  • You will be asked to answer questions based on your personal circumstances, including:

    • Whether you will apply for a student visa
    • How you will fund your tuition and living costs (e.g. self-funded, government loan, sponsored)
    • Whether you have the required financial evidence for your visa

  • Provide accurate details of your payment or loan, and upload your payment receipt or government loan letter.
  • Once uploaded, click “Continue” to submit the deposit task.

3. Receiving Your Unconditional Offer

Once you receive your unconditional offer you only need to accept it and proceed to the CAS stage.

4. Requesting Your CAS

  • The Finance Team will review your submission.
  • Once they confirm your payment or funding, the Admissions Team will issue your Unconditional Offer.
  • You will receive an email from the University inviting you to request your CAS through the CAS Shield system.
  • Log in to CAS Shield and upload the necessary documents and information.
  • You will be sent a draft CAS – check all details carefully, including:
    • Spelling of your name
    • Date of birth
    • Nationality
    • Qualifications
  • Once everything is correct and approved, your final CAS will be issued via email.

Tip: More information about the CAS process is available in the Compliance Team presentation.
