London Metropolitan University would like to welcome applications from students from the USA, Africa, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, India, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka who are considering a full-time master's in the UK.
The scholarship will offer up to six eligible students £4,000 tuition fee discount at London Met for the duration of their programme of study and up to four eligible students guaranteed accommodation in central London.
To be considered you will need to meet all of the applicable selection criteria and submit your scholarship application by 31st October 2025.
Eligibility criteria
In order to meet the criteria, you must:
- be a US, African, Indonesian, Malaysian, Vietnamese, Indian, Nepalese, Sri Lankan or Pakistani citizen and resident in respectively the United States of America, Africa, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, India, Nepal, Sri Lanka or Pakistan
- be able to demonstrate financial need
- have graduated or be expected to graduate with an applicable bachelor's degree of first-class classification by 30 November 2025
- have applied for a full-time master's at London Metropolitan University beginning in January 2026
- have accepted a conditional or unconditional offer of admission for January 2026
- have IELTS 7.5 (minimum) unless English language exemption applies (as it does for the majority of English-speaking nationals)
- be available to start academic studies at London Metropolitan University by the January 2026 deadline – no deferral to a subsequent academic year or intake will be permitted
- be aged 18 or above when you enroll at London Metropolitan University
- be able to satisfy current UK immigration requirements
Scholarship Value
- £4,000 tuition fee discount (applied to one year of study).
- This scholarship can be combined with other awards and scholarships, allowing successful applicants to achieve up to £9,500 total tuition fee reductions in the first year.
Restrictions and exemptions
This scholarship is only available for prospective full-time postgraduate students from the above specified countries who have applied for a full-time master's offered by one of the following schools at London Metropolitan University:
- School of Human Sciences
- School of Social Sciences and Professions
- School of Art, Architecture and Design
- Guildhall School of Business and Law
- School of Computing and Digital Media
- School of the Built Environment
How to apply
- Complete the International Excellence Postgraduate Scholarship application form and indicate your wish to be considered for this award.
- You must also declare if you would like to take up non-funded accommodation at International Student House (ISH). Please note: if you are awarded the scholarship and select this option, you will be required to sign a housing contract directly with International Students House.
- The University must support and validate your application for it to be considered by the scholarship panel.
