At London Metropolitan University, we’re proud to support outstanding students from Canada through our Canada Bright Futures Scholarship – part of our international scholarships package for the 2026/27 academic year. This award recognises applicants who demonstrate a strong commitment to their studies and to joining our diverse, vibrant community in London. 

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for the Canada Bright Futures Scholarship, you must: 

  • Be a new international fee-paying student. 
  • Starting an undergraduate or postgraduate degree at London Met in the 2026/27 academic year (September 2026, January 2027 and May 2027 entry). 
  • Hold Canadian citizenship (and upload evidence of a Canadian passport)
  • Hold an offer for a full-time, full-degree programme delivered at one of our London campuses. 
  • Pay a deposit of £4,000 or more by the set deadline
     

Scholarship Value 

You will receive a £5,500 reduction in tuition fees.  

This award is applied for the first year of study and is automatically renewable each academic year for students, subject to continued enrolment and international fee status. See below for the potential scholarship value for your whole studies.

1-Year course: £5,500
2-Year course: £11,000
3-Year course: £16,500
4-Year course: £22,000

Maximum Value: Up to £22,000 for a 4-year course across your whole studies.  

Application Process 

No separate application is required. If you meet the eligibility criteria, your total tuition fee reduction will be automatically applied to your unconditional offer and CAS.    

Restrictions and Exemptions 

  • Only available to new, full-time, international fee-paying students with Canadian citizenship. 
  • Not available for distance learning or partner-delivered courses.
  • Cannot be deferred. Students who defer their offer may lose eligibility.
  • Cannot be combined with any other London Met scholarships
  • Can only be applied to full undergraduate and master's programmes. The scholarship excludes:
    • PG Cert courses
    • PG Dip courses
    • Graduate Diploma in Law
    • LLM Legal Practice
    • MSc Social Work
    • Advanced Diploma in Professional Development in Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption Law and Compliance
    • MA International Security Studies
    • MSc Youth and Community Work – Advanced Practice
    • LLM Legal Practice – SQE1 and 2
    • The International Foundation Programme (IFP).
  • MSc Counselling and Psychotherapy students will receive a total tuition fee reduction of £5,500, split evenly across the two years of the programme, with £2,750 awarded in each year of study.
