Please would the university confirm to me how many times it has been sued by students and how many times the law school has been sued

Response

Dear Ms...,

I write further to your request for information dated 9 January 2019.  This request has been handled by the University in accordance with its duties and obligations under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 ("FOIA").

You requested details of:

How many times it has been sued by students and how many times the law school has been sued.

In response to your request, there have been 29 litigation matters where proceedings have been issued against the University by students. As the law school has no separate legal personality, it cannot be sued in its own right, but of the 29 matters referred to above, 9 were made by students studying law (including the LPC).
