The LGBTQIA+ Staff Network is a welcoming community for LGBTQIA+ colleagues across London Met. The network provides a space for connection, visibility, support and celebration, while working to strengthen LGBTQIA+ inclusion across the university.
The network also works closely with The Rainbow Room, an intersectional LGBTQIA+ safe space used for drop-ins, events and community activity.
Our purpose
The LGBTQIA+ Staff Network aims to:
- create an inclusive and supportive community
- celebrate LGBTQIA+ identities and experiences
- raise awareness and understanding
- support LGBTQIA+ inclusion across London Met
- collaborate with colleagues, students and partners
The Committee
The network is supported by Network Leads and a committee who work volunteer to maintain the network, develop activity and create opportunities for engagement.
Colleagues are welcome to join the LGBTQIA+ Staff Network and any other Staff Networks that are meaningful to them.
Our communities recognise intersectionality and the importance of creating spaces where different identities and experiences are valued.
