Academic Quality and Development works with the University's students and Students Union in several ways.
AQD organises and attends / supports key University Committees such as Learning, Teaching and Quality Committee where the Student Union Vice President- Education Officer is a member.
Students are employed by AQD to act as panel members for our course validation and re-validation events, including those which are cross-school or involve Professional, Statutory and Regulatory Bodies. This applies for both in-house courses and those in collaborative partnerships. The student view is integral to driving forward changes and improvements to all our courses.
AQD also works with the University's Student Curriculum Partners to ensure our documentation, such as Student Handbooks, are written in student-friendly, inclusive language.
Additionally, the University has a Student Partnership Agreement our version of a Student Charter, which is currently under review.
