Students are encouraged to be active rather than passive learners. Audio and PowerPoint lecture materials and tutorials taken from our IBMS accredited BSc will be supplied online 24/7 through our VLE.  These routinely feature problem-based learning materials in the form of integrated case-studies that students are given time to consider before the correct diagnosis is provided. Online students will also have access to ‘LearnSci’ simulations/worksheets to enhance their problem-based learning (PBL).  The inclusion of compulsory practical work and practical proformas either completed within the workplace or onsite at LMU will further solidify PBL and pre-equip students for the IBMS portfolio. ‘Microsoft Teams’ is also available within all modules for use as a group work & discussion tool where necessary. Time constrained questions that involve ‘reasoning’ skills for the correct answer to be attained will also feature within compulsory online end of topic MCQ tests across all modules.  Such tests have previously been used as summative assessment, but these will now be reoriented as formative learning tools.
