Stefani answers some questions about life at London Metropolitan University

Hello, can you introduce yourself?

Hi, my name is Stefani and I just finished my second year at London Metropolitan University, as a Media and Marketing student.

How can students prepare for uni?

Well, I literally have one suggestion, just enjoy your time being a student. Make friends, take it easy and have fun!

Are there opportunities to join in on extracurricular activities?

Yep, university has a lot of opportunities, at least like every month, something interesting happens around. Like, different events or students exhibitions so, we have a lot of fun around.

What do students do during the summer holidays?

Well, I believe they work or do internships as I do but, however, we are in London, so we literally can have a great time within London or somewhere around too so, it depends.

How has studying at London Met helped you prepare for your future career?

Well, I found that literally the lectures and seminars are very, very helpful, and especially when I had work practice, it was in the class, and networking and collaboration with the people. And I believe, like this experience will really, really help me in my future career.

How easy is it to find housing in London?

Tricky question. I found it really easy, but still you have to spend time for research in the different platforms. Here, you have a lot of options and variations of what to rent and how to live.

Is uni worth it?

Oh, yeah, definitely. Easy question.

Is it easy to make friends at uni?

Yes, definitely. Because, uni it's, you know, it's very diverse and it has different personalities around and you definitely can find somebody who’s close to your personality. And actually, everybody is so friendly to you. So, yeah, it's easy, it's very easy.

What's your favourite thing about studying at London Met?

Diversity. Yeah, I love the fact that you could, you can meet so many different personalities and so many people with different cultural backgrounds, and they're like from everywhere around the world, and they came to London Met to study. So, yeah, there's going to be diversity.

What are three things you shouldn't forget to bring to uni?

Bring your positive vibe. I believe this is really important.

What's your course like?

Oooh... My course. So, my course is a combination of creativity and managing the business side too. So, it's what I love about it because, it's perfectly fit for me because, I love managing everything, and yeah, and I'm a creative person too. So, this is literally the perfect course for me.
