At London Metropolitan University, we’re proud to support outstanding students from Latin America through our Latin America Bright Futures Scholarship – part of our International Scholarships package for the 2026/27 academic year. This award recognises applicants who demonstrate a strong commitment to their studies and to joining our diverse, vibrant community in London.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for the Latin America Bright Futures Scholarship, you must:
- Be a new international fee-paying student starting an undergraduate or postgraduate degree at London Met in the 2026/25 academic year (September 2026, January 2027 and May 2027 entry).
- Hold citizenship from a Latin American country.
- Hold an offer for a full-time, full-degree programme delivered at one of our London campuses.
- Pay a deposit of £4,000 or more (see special conditions below) by a set deadline.
Scholarship Value
You will receive a £5,500 tuition fee reduction, which includes:
This award is applied for the first year of study and is automatically renewable each academic year for undergraduate students, subject to continued enrolment and international fee status.
Application Process
No separate application is required. If you meet the eligibility criteria, your total tuition fee reduction will be automatically applied to your unconditional offer and CAS.
Selection Criteria
This scholarship is available to all eligible applicants and is awarded based on:
- Academic excellence
- Commitment to early deposit payment
Special Conditions
- This scholarship cannot be combined with other awards
- Please note, in your offer letter, the scholarship name will reference your specific country of domicle, for example if you live in Mexico, instead of the "Latin American Bright Futures Scholarship" it will list the"Mexico Bright Futures Scholarship"
Restrictions and Exemptions
- Only available to new, full-time, international fee-paying students with citizenship From a Latin American country
- Not available for distance learning or partner-delivered courses
- Cannot be deferred – students who defer their offer may lose eligibility
- Cannot be combined with any other London Met scholarship
- Can only be applied to full undergraduate and master's programmes. This excludes GDL, PG Dip, PG Cert, and LLM courses
