In this session, we presented how to integrate Generative AI (GenAI) in translator training at London Met, examining its impact on translation workflows and educational practices. As GenAI approaches the "Peak of Inflated Expectations" (Gartner, 2024), its influence on the translation industry has sparked significant academic interest. This session highlighted the transformative potential of GenAI in translation pedagogy, emphasising the need for educators to adapt their teaching methods to incorporate AI technology effectively. Through an outline of course-level interventions and student perspectives, we provided some insight into the benefits and limitations of GenAI in translator training, offering a comprehensive framework for its effective implementation.
