Terans Gunawardhana

Biography

Terans Gunawardhana is a real estate academic and valuation professional whose PhD in Built Environment at RMIT University, Australia, is nearing completion. He holds an MSc in Project Management from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka, along with an MSc and a BSc in Real Estate Management and Valuation from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka. He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA), and a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS). He has professional experience working for a company contracted as a valuer to the Valuer-General’s Office in Victoria, Australia, and has taught at institutions including the University of Melbourne, the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, the University of Moratuwa, Sabaragamuwa University, and Sir John Kotelawala Defence University. His research focuses on contemporary developments in real estate, specialised property valuation, and the adoption of property technology in valuation practice. His personal interests include global political analysis, playing cricket and songwriting.
