Dr Perry Bhatarah

Perry has an an MSc in Cognitive Science (Birmingham), an MSc (BPS conversion) in Psychology (Essex) and a PhD in Cognitive Psychology (Essex).

Perry is a Chartered Member of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA).

Perry's research interests are in broad areas of cognitive psychology, including emotion. Recent projects have focused on factors affecting short and long term memory (e.g. impact of anxiety on memory), factors affecting face recognition and emotion perception (e.g. use of face mask during COVID on face recognition and emotion perception.
