Biography
Dr Mesfin Habtom [PhD, MBA, BA (Hons), PGCLTE, SFHEA, CMBE] is a senior lecturer in marketing and academic liaison tutor (ALT) for programmes delivered through London Metropolitan University partner institutions in Spain, Switzerland and Germany. He previously served as ALT for partner institutions in at Islington College Kathmandu, Nepal, and Portobello Institute, Ireland.
Mesfin has acted as postgraduate research co-ordinator, research ethics lead and RSPG and RERP Chair in the business school over the last 4.6 years. Previous to this, Mesfin had served as a course leader for MA Marketing, MA Brand Management and MSc International Marketing Communications for ten years. Mesfin has supervised MPhil and PhD students to successful completion and acted as PhD examiner and PhD viva chair. Mesfin also worked as co-reviewer for the International Business Review Journal and has reviewed several marketing communications and digital marketing books. He has also actively engaged in several knowledge transfer partnerships. Prior to joining the University, Mesfin worked as marketing consultant in various national and multinational companies in Europe, Asia and Africa.
