London Met entrepreneurs pitch for new Founders Fund support

Following successful presentations, a total of £500 in grant funding was allocated to five students and graduates after the pitch day.

Date: 2 December 2025

London Met’s Enterprise team recently hosted the inaugural Founders Fund Pitch Day, a new opportunity that aims to award grant funding to entrepreneurial students and graduates each semester.

From early-stage concepts to emerging tech businesses, each participant presented their business to a judging panel, sharing how the grant fund would impact their journey and support them in taking their venture to the next level.

Following successful presentations, a total of £500 in grant funding was allocated to five students and graduates after the pitch day. This semester’s funds will be used in various ways, including covering business registration costs, cutting-edge artificial intelligence training, preparing for art exhibitions and fashion-based product launches.

Fund recipient and London Met alumna Loren Kinsella is aiming to revolutionise the entertainment industry with her innovative patent-pending Near-Infra Audio System. Loren experimented with the idea and developed the system during her master’s dissertation at London Met. The recent Founders Fund grant will support Loren in acquiring technical hardware to accelerate her research and development.

The London Met Enterprise team is excited to continue supporting these emerging entrepreneurial students and graduates as they develop their businesses over the coming months.

Whether a side hustle, start-up idea, or a business dream, Founders Fund offers a fantastic opportunity for students and graduates to pitch for up to £200 and receive direct financial support to take their ideas to the next level.

The Founders Fund applications will reopen next semester on Monday 12th January, offering a new opportunity for aspiring founders and freelancers to apply for funding.
