Part of the Shoreditch Design Triangle, the exhibition offers a first glimpse inside London Met’s new creative hub and celebrates the work of emerging talent.
Date: 3 September 2025
Work by recent graduates of London Metropolitan University’s Design courses will appear alongside those of leading creatives from across the East End as part of this year’s Shoreditch Design Festival, running from 13 to 21 September.
The show will be the first exhibition held in London Met’s newly re-opened Shoreditch Building at 35 Kingsland Road. It will feature work by successful alumni now active across a wide range of design disciplines.
Established in 2008, the Shoreditch Design Triangle is a key fixture of the London Design Festival, featuring more than 100 exhibitions, talks, workshops and open studios. The event celebrates the area’s creative energy, with fashion, furniture, art and architecture on show throughout local streets, galleries and studios.
James Hunting, Deputy Head of Design at London Met, said the reopening is about more than just a new location:
“This is a hugely exciting chapter for London Met’s creative courses. For the first time, all our students are working under one roof, creating a real community of learning. Being based in one of the most vibrant and creative areas in the world will open up opportunities and inspiration for our students. We can’t wait to share our work with the wider community.”
While London Met has had a presence in Shoreditch for over two decades through its enterprise team, 2025 marks a new chapter as the University brings teaching to the area for the first time for its Fine Art, Textiles and Fashion Degree Courses.
