From a diverse European family background and educated originally in France up to postgraduate level, Etienne pursued studies/research in Scotland before eventually entering the field of Higher Education as undergraduate teacher. Throughout his career, he has made many contacts (and friends) among people from a wide range of walks of life and industries, something about which he feels most privileged.
From the start of his career his scholarly contributions have included regular reviews of texts adopted as core references on all courses he has taught. He also qualified as a Certified First Aider, since 1993.
Etienne’s interest in European affairs and business led him to focus his teaching on precisely opening the minds of graduates from the UK and international backgrounds to what Europe is about. It attracts many people to live and do business, and has long been promoting values such as peace, democracy, the rule of law and prosperity for citizens worldwide. Those values are critical and crucial to growth and development throughout the world.
