Silas Beckwith
Silas teaches Tort Law, Equity and Trusts and Environmental Law. He practised at the Bar before joining the University in 1996.He is co-author of Sweet & Maxwell’s Environmental Law (with Justine Thornton) and of the widely-used textbook Tort (with Paula Giliker).
Silas also writes two of the modules on the University's Postgraduate Diploma in Maritime Law by Distance Learning, and has recently been involved in incorporating employability and personal development planning into the undergraduate curriculum.
