Enamelling is the technique of melting glass on to metal in order to produce inspiring colours and unique effects.
During the course you can experiment with many of the traditional and non-traditional techniques of enamelling in order to add colour to jewellery, small work or panels.
Some of the areas covered will include champlevé, cloisonné, basse taille, use of foils, scrafitto, wet packing, sifting, and liquid enamels.
Tuition will be in groups and on an individual basis. Suitable for beginners as well as those with some experience.
Students will need to bring the following small tools:
Piercing saw and blades (3.0) Scribe Small planishing Hammer Pliers: Snipe nosed Half round flat nosed Metal tweezers Small paintbrush (size 00 or 000) A selection of small lidded pots
