Accommodation Information
The University's Student Accommodation Bureau offers a broad range of options to meet the needs of individuals. As well as rooms in a variety of halls of residence, the Student Accommodation Bureau can provide information about private rented accommodation, home stay, hostels and short-stay accommodation.
When to apply
After you have submitted your ERASMUS application form, you will receive an email from the International Programmes Office confirming that you have been offered a place at London Metropolitan University. At this point, you can contact the Student Accommodation Bureau.
The Accommodation Bureau advertises a variety of halls managed by private companies, and you should apply for the hall of your choice directly via the managing company’s website. Links to the hall websites can be found under the individual hall descriptions in www.londonmet.ac.uk/accommodation/halls-of-residence/home.cfm
The halls are allocated on a first-come-first-served basis, so early application is recommended. An updated availability list is also available on Accommodation Bureau website.
The Student Accommodation Bureau will be happy to provide advice and information to students looking for housing in London. There are links to accommodation providers, advice on short-term accommodation, access to the university's NetLet site plus dates and times of House Hunting events that are put on by the Accommodation Bureau. There are also some very useful publications that you should read concerning your rights as a renter and how to protect your money.
If you arrive in London without accommodation then you should look at staying in a hostel while you search for somewhere to live. The Accommodation site has a list of recommended hostels and the facilities that they provide.
