Christopher Phillips

Lecturer in Sport Science and Therapy at the School of Human Sciences

Chris graduated from the University of Greenwich with a BSc (Hons) in Sports Science before gaining his MSc in Sports Therapy from London Metropolitan University. He went on to work within musculoskeletal injury clinics for over 7 years, focusing on long distance running injuries, before taking up his role with London Metropolitan University in 2022.
 
Chris continues to practice as a Sports Therapist in his spare time, working with a wide range of athletes, as well as enjoying playing football for his local team.
Chris teaches the examination and assessment of sport injuries as well as the application of manual therapy and electrotherapy treatments. He also contributes towards the teaching of human anatomy and the physiology of training principles.
 
Chris's interests include the occurrence of ACL injuries in sport as well as endurance running injuries.
