Dr Ben Hunter

Ben is a lecturer in Exercise Physiology and Biomechanics at the School of Human Sciences.

Ben holds a PhD where he studied ‘The application of non-linear analyses on running’. In addition he is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. He previously worked as a Senior Technician at the University of Hertfordshire alongside his PhD. He is currently a Lecturer in Exercise Physiology and Biomechanics.

Ben currently leads on undergraduate biomechanics and physiology modules, as well as research design. His teaching primarily focuses on the portfolio of sport programmes, although he also contributes to the Pre-Registration Physiotherapy course. His current research interests include non-linear analysis of human movement, gait analysis and determinants of running performance.
