Student Services
You'll find our Student Services and Careers and Employment Centres on both campuses. This is where to come if you need help, information and advice, whether it's in opening a bank account, how to get help if you are dyslexic, or where to find a part-time job.
We offer advice, information and guidance. We are here to help make your stay at London Metropolitan University a success and to increase your potential to employers.
Our Student Services Centres are located on both campuses — you can find us at Calcutta House at City campus and in the Tower Building at North campus. You can find further details of contact names and opening hours as well as a wealth of other information on the Student Services website.

| "The main thing that has really helped me at this University is the dyslexia support. As a result of the help I received in my first year, my grades soared" - Alice Henderson, BSc (Hons) Psychology |
| "I chose London Met because of its accessibility and flexibility. Studying here also helped me gain new experiences, such as the mentoring scheme, where I helped by mentoring other students for two years. This greatly increased my own confidence too" - Emmanuel Nyarko, BA (Hons) Accounting graduate

Disabilities and Dyslexia Service
www.londonmet.ac.uk/disabilities
www.londonmet.ac.uk/dyslexia
Our service provides a range of support for disabled and dyslexic students. Because we want to do this well, we strongly encourage you to tell us on your application form if you have a disability, long-term medical or mental health condition or a specific learning disability such as dyslexia. Informing us will not affect the decision to offer you a place, as this will be made on purely academic grounds. If you decide not to tell us, we may not be able to make the adjustments necessary for you to successfully participate
in your course.
Telling us about your disability or dyslexia will benefit you. You will be able to arrange a consultation with us about the services, arrangements and facilities the University can offer to enable you to achieve academic success and to have an enjoyable time during your course. We will treat what you tell us confidentially and will share it only with those who need to know in order to make reasonable adjustments.
Services we offer include:
- individual needs assessments
- special examination arrangements
- help with finding an academic support worker
- screening if you suspect you may be dyslexic
- specialist ICT and tutorial support
- advice on Disabled Students Allowance
