Careers

Career opportunities

'Students considering a career in teaching physical education need to think very carefully about their first degree and its relevance to the profession. Many traditional Sports Science degrees lack this relevance. The BSc Sports Science & Physical Education degree has been carefully designed in collaboration with the Education department to ensure that graduates are better placed to secure a future in the PE teaching profession.' - Greg Dryer - Course Leader: PGCE PE (Secondary)

Successful completion of this course will provide graduates with a general scientific training along with an understanding of physical education and child development.  Graduates who achieve a minimum of a 2.1 award will be guaranteed an interview for the Post-Graduate Course in Physical Education (Secondary) at London Metropolitan University. Further study options include the university’s MSc. Sports Therapy or other related studies.
