Overview

Interior Design is an exciting and multidisciplinary practice involving a broad range of projects such public, retail, workspace and leisure. We provide you with an industry-led production community, helping you become a successful and inventive interior designer.
We provide you with both community and commercial projects & partnerships; encouraging a sense of empathy for clients and users, their needs and motivation. Students will also take design responsibility for how cultural and commercial philosophies function within their practice.
Ideas are explored using both traditional drawing methods and interactive graphic packages and developed through colour, lighting and materials. Students also experiment with cutting edge modelmaking techniques.
The teaching team includes professional interior designers and architects. The Faculty is bustling with creativity and energy with students using both state-of-the-art digital & high-end traditional workshops to develop their practice. The course is taught in the heart of London’s creative district with future employers and commissioning agencies on your doorstop.
Students on the course benefit from unique opportunities to collaborate across Design (including furniture & textiles) and Architecture.

Student profiles

“I chose London Met because it was one of the few Universities with a good interior design course…The course itself requires a lot more work and effort than I initially expected, but the support from the tutors is excellent. What I enjoy most about the course is that we work to tight briefs and we learn how to channel our creativity while working with restrictions. ??The Formica project … was one of the most challenging projects I have done at the University …??Winning the competition was a great surprise and I could not be happier because all the effort I put into this project has paid off and I have made my tutors proud.”
