Access courses

Access courses usually last one year and offer relevant subject knowledge and study skills as preparation for entry to higher education.

These courses are normally for mature students of 21 and over, but in some cases students of 19+ are eligible. They are accredited by Open College Networks and thus carry nationally recognised certification.

Successful completion of an Access course is recognised by most universities as a qualification for entry to higher education. Your application for a London Metropolitan University undergraduate course will be considered sympathetically if you have successfully completed an Access course. Students who successfully complete the following Access courses at one of our partner colleges are guaranteed consideration for a place on an appropriate course at London Metropolitan University.
