Sunshine Recorder

Music technology lecturer shows new work at festival in Germany.

Alexander Wendt, senior lecturer at The Cass Music, installs Lit – Sunshine Recorder, a decelerating cinematic composition of sound art and moving image.

Lit will be on display with multiple soundtracks at KammerMachen #9, the Festival for Theater, Music and Sound Art in Chemnitz, Germany. The exhibition will open on Friday 2 October 2015 and will showcase a selection of commissioned soundtracks by artists such as Jez Riley French, Jasper Leyland, Robert Curgenven, Sandra Ka and Alexander Wendt, and culminate with a live mix performance for the finissage on 10 October.

The exhibition is produced in association with Produzenten-gallerie OSCAR e.V. and with financial support of Kulturstiftung des Freistaaates Sachsen.

After the premier of Lit version 1.2 at the Drone Cinema Film Festival in the Netherlands critic's voices described Lit as: "bravura, Byronic and very '1940s filmic' sweep...a composition of real time video and light for deceleration".
