The School is located on London City campus. It has been offering degrees in psychology for well over 35 years. Many of our experienced staff are also practitioners and provide a stimulating and supportive environment in which to study psychology. The School has consistently obtained maximum scores in recent Quality Assessment exercises for its curriculum design and organisation, its approach to teaching and learning, its student support and guidance and for its learning resources. Many of the courses are professionally accredited by the British Psychological Society and the Health Professions Council.
In addition the School offers a range of Masters and Doctoral programmes in professional areas of psychology such as occupational, health, counselling and forensic psychology as well as research degrees. The School has an internationally recognised research capability covering a range of topics including developmental, social, cognitive, biological, counselling and abnormal psychology.
The School has an extensive suite of dedicated laboratories that include two large networked psychological teaching laboratories, a video recording and editing suite as well as specialist laboratories for research in visual perception, social, developmental and physiological psychology. There are two suites of project rooms and well-equipped workshops to support these. In addition a Psychology Resources room includes a specialist psychological test library as well as providing students with a consultation/study area and access to a range of core journal articles and past student projects.
