The MBA is the premier qualification for ambitious talented individuals wishing to progress to strategic-level positions in their organisation. It provides a rigorous grounding in the knowledge and understanding, skills and decision making necessary for career development in strategic general management in a wide variety of business environments. Although candidates may have some business or management experience, this is not essential. The programme is normally completed in twelve months full-time study.

Our course offers you the chance to study intensively key business functions, business strategy and the legal and economic environment in which business operates and to develop your management and leadership skills. You will begin with a wide-ranging introduction to the core aspects of modern business and building on these fundamentals you will develop your business reasoning by integrating theory and practice in the context of real business problems. Our aim is to equip you with the ability to analyse, understand and evaluate contemporary problems facing modern business organisations in the ever changing global environment. Applications are considered from graduates of approved universities with a minimum of a second class honour degree in any discipline.
In addition, non-graduates with approved professional qualifications or substantial relevant work experience will be considered.
Applicants may have relevant work experience, but this is not essential. Each application will be considered on its individual merits in terms of the applicant’s ability to contribute to and benefit from the course.
All applicants should have evidence of excellent English language competence. This may require an English language test; for example Academic IELTS with an overall score of 6.0 and a minimum of 5.5 in all components or equivalent.
The first stage of the MBA is based on six core modules and ONE elective taught over two semesters. The core modules provide a rigorous grounding in key subject areas while the elective allows students the chance to specialise in an area of their own choice. In addition, a year-long module Leadership and Personal Development, runs alongside the taught modules consolidating learning and development in the first stage of the programme

The second stage of the MBA is the Business Analysis Report , a major piece of work of approximately 10,000 words. You will work with a subject specialist supervisor to develop a Professional business report based on a real business problem.
Our students develop their learning through a variety of activities including interactive group sessions, workshops, and assessments which involve industry projects, case studies, professional reports, computer-based projects, group presentations, scenario simulations, and seen/unseen exams. This variety enables our students to demonstrate all their strengths and abilities and focus on practical, real world issues of contemporary relevance.
We will focus on developing your career throughout the course with workshops in career-planning, CV development and interview technique from week one, so you can monitor your progress.
