Discussing language learning strategies is an important part of the preparation stage of each course and we make sure all learners receive our 'How to Learn a Language' booklet.
Our approach is always learner-centred with tasks and activities that focus on giving learners real communication skills. We always try to incorporate authentic materials into the courses such as recordings of work-related telephone conversations or company brochures to improve listening, reading, grammar and vocabulary skills.
We believe independent learning is a key element in language learning. Guided self-study is therefore integral to the syllabus of our programmes and learners are offered the following self-study options:
Completely interactive online language programmes called e-packs designed here at London Metropolitan University.
Downloadable online materials called Online Packs.
Paper-based Self-Study Packs.
